Breaking Into Tech in the Age of AI: Why It's Getting Harder for Junior Developers

Breaking into tech has never been easy — but the rise of AI is rapidly changing what "entry-level" really means. Junior developers are now expected to understand broader architectures, work across multiple technologies, and deliver value faster than ever before. In this talk, I'll explore how AI is raising the bar, reshaping learning paths, and creating new challenges for less-experienced developers. We'll also discuss what this means for teams, hiring, and the future of developer growth.

Documenting your software architecture with C4 model, LikeC4, and (a bit of) Mermaid

Architecture was always important, but with coding agents it's even more important to nail it. And how to nail something without visualizing, interacting with it, and validating? C4 is an approach getting more and more popularity thanks to its simplicity, and hierarchical abstractions (https://c4model.com/). LikeC4 is a nice JavaScript-based solution for defining models, and visualizing them, potentially following C4 (https://likec4.dev/). Mermaid is another visualization tool, and its competitive advantage is a native support in GitHub Markdown files (https://mermaid.js.org/). Worth to check, but we'll do this in the context of C4 alone. Overall, this presentation should give you a nice idea on how to approach documenting your architecture. 30% on C4, 50% on LikeC4, 10% Mermaid, 10% freestyle/questions.

Dev tools for your dev tools. How to manage your browser code snippets like a psycho (Lightning Talk ⚡️)

I'm an engineer - sometimes the lazy one with a short attention span. My brain capacity tends to become overloaded with boring, repetitive tasks - therefore I automate. I'll show you how to use Chrome dev tools to your advantage in the battle with cognitive load.

Claude Code is a Double Agent: How to Use New Docker Sandboxes to Stop Leaking Your Credentials (Lightning Talk ⚡️)

Anthropic knew about critical Claude Code security vulnerabilities for months and never told users. Anyone running Claude Code at that time could have all of their credentials leaked. No one should ever run Claude Code without a VM or a secure sandbox. The recently released Docker Sandboxes is a fast and convenient way to do that.

A REPL that you’ve never seen before (Lightning Talk ⚡️)

I’ll live-demo a fun way to write code, explain briefly how it works, and what role JS plays in it.
