Debugging memory leaks

Should JavaScript developers know how JavaScript manages memory? When JavaScript's Garbage Collector can't do its job? What is a memory leak? To answer these I will talk about the memory lifecycle, available tools, how to interpret results, and how to avoid memory leaks.
